Classic Division
A classic yacht is one that was constructed before 31 December 1949 or is a yacht whose original design parameters were set before 1950 and constructed before 31 December 1959 (to allow the K class to comply). The yacht must be of traditional materials.
6.4
Women's Division
For all women crews (one man shall be permitted on board but must not give any physical assistance after the 4 minute preparatory signal except in an emergency in which case that boat shall immediately retire from that division).
6.5
Cruising Division
Yachts shall not deploy “extras” being sails other than working sails. Working sails being defined as mainsail(s), jib, staysail, and mizzen.
6.6
Two Handed Division The use of self-steering devices whether mechanical, electrical or otherwise is permitted but yachts using self-steering devices will not be eligible for competition within their Division.
6.7
Classes Five or more boats of one class may apply to race as a class within the division as specified in 6.1 above regardless of handicap. To race in a Class a boat shall comply with the Class Association Rules.
6.8
Team Competition
The scores of the best three boats will count. Low points scoring system of Appendix A will apply. A boat shall only be entered in one team. A team may consist of three or four boats.
6.9
A minimum of 5 entries are required to form either a Classic, Women's or Two Handed division. The Organising Authority reserves the right to delete any division not attaining the required entries.
