Russell: Whats on for 2020

When you come ashore, please sort and dispose of your waste and recylcing into the designated bins. For your convenience, we will be locating the bins at the entrance to the wharf, and will be supplying you with bags in your skippers pack to pre-sort your recyling ahead of time. Then, come visit us at the Race Headquarters, located in the same spot as last year: the Ray White offices attached to The Duke Tavern (19 York St). Come say hello, check out the results, and lodge any paperwork as required.

Friday afternoon - onward. When you arrive at the Duke Tavern, please scan in with the covid tracer app or manually sign in. Anybody who looks under 25 will be asked for ID, and everybody over 18 will be issued with a wrist band for the Duke Tavern and will be offered to purchase food/drink tokens. If you can organize these two things before Saturday's prizegiving function, you'll be skipping the queue to enter!

The Duke Tavern is open for food and drinks until 3am Friday.

Saturday AM Sausage Sizzle

If you have some gold coins kicking around the boat, be sure to bring them ashore on Saturday morning as there will be a sausage sizzle benefitting the Russell Cancer Group outside of the Race Headquarters. It's the breakfast of champions, and starting early if you're only finising late in the night!

Food/Drink tokens can be pre purchased by e-mail to the Duke Tavern owners Gary and Lucy with your name, quantity of drink voucher and quantity of food vouchers. They'll reply with an invoice for online payment. Otherwise, you can buy with eftpos at the door: drink tokens remain at $9 each, and strips of 10 are available.

The Prizegiving starts at 7pm on Saturday. We have some awesome prizes lined up for all the divisions (with thanks to Doyle Sails, Zhik, Mount Gay, B&G, PredictWind, Railblaza, 36° Brokers and Burnsco), and spot prizes (with thanks to The Duke Of Marlborough Hotel, the Edmund Hillary Collection, James' Boat Valet, Harken Fosters/ Ecostore and Paroa Bay Winery's Sage Restaurant).

The afterparty is from 7:30pm Saturday until late (3am). We are so pleased to announce that we have a fabulous live band lined up for you - it's very much worth staying around for the entertainment. You may recognize Josh Leys and his approachable, down to earth style from other yachting parties...

Mount Gay Rum bars are back - there will be two designated all weekend! Additionaly, there are 8 beers & 2 ciders on tap, RTD's, Rose, Sav, Pinot Gris and Pinot Noir. 1 drink token will get you 2 soft drinks.

Food options at the Duke Tavern will range from pizza to fish n chips, pulled pork sliders to chicken tacos and vegetarian lasagne. If you have any food or drink tokens left over on Sunday morning, feel free to use one token for a Coffee / Juice + Pastry.

The Water Taxi service ends at 10am Sunday.

Remember - the more we cooperate with the Supply of Alcohol Act 2012, the easier it will be for us to plan an even better afterparty for you next year!
