RACE CLINICS

Whether you're a seasoned sailor or embarking on your first coastal, don't miss out on the opportunity to learn from a panel of experts who will help you navigate New Zealand’s Great Race North.. 

COASTAL PERSONAL SAFETY:
Tuesday 16 September 6.30 pm

​Designed for crew members. this clinic will boost your knowledge and readiness for the race, including essential drills like MOB, emergency situations and coastal and night sailing. Expect an interactive open forum with lots of group discussions, so come ready to dive in and share.

BOAT PREP & SAFETY:
Tuesday 7 October 7.00 pm

Preparation is everything. Hear from our panel of race veterans on essential equipment and procedures, communications, safety drills, and sailing in the dark. Bring your questions and your crew mates.

FORECAST & TACTICS:
Monday 20 October 7.00 pm

​You’ll be treated to another night of great advice as Predictwind provides comprehensive insight into how to approach the race based on the predicted weather conditions. You’ll also gather valuable insights into potential winning strategies and tactics to consider.

The PIC Coastal Classic is proudly organised by the New Zealand Multihull Yacht Club

The NZMYC are dedicated to promoting Multihulls and Multihull sailing, providing a number of events from racing to cruising over the year.

Members can draw on over thirty years of experience; there are a number of designers in the club, both amateur and professional and a number of talented builders.

 

The NZMYC now make their home at the Royal New Zealand Yacht Squadron on the Westhaven breakwater.

We welcome enquiries and are always open to new people interested in joining the multihull fraternity.
