2019 Race Date Announced

25th October 2019 will see the 37th edition of the PIC Coastal Classic race from Auckland to Russell in the Bay of Islands.

We look forward to the sustained momentum of the growing fleet, and given the excellent feedback provided by skippers after 2018 - we are already working toward making 2019 the best one yet.

The PIC Coastal Classic Yacht Race is New Zealand's premier yacht race that saw 165 boats participate in 2018, from newcomers in the cruising rally division to some of the most high tech multihulls and monohulls in the world.

The PIC Coastal Classic is proudly organised by the New Zealand Multihull Yacht Club

The NZMYC are dedicated to promoting Multihulls and Multihull sailing, providing a number of events from racing to cruising over the year.

​

Members can draw on over thirty years of experience; there are a number of designers in the club, both amateur and professional and a number of talented builders.

 

The NZMYC now make their home at the Royal New Zealand Yacht Squadron on the Westhaven breakwater.

We welcome enquiries and are always open to new people interested in joining the multihull fraternity.
