Great Advice Night: Monday 21 Sept @ 7pm

Are you new to the PIC Coastal Classic? Just looking for some great advice and a fun evening talking coastal sailing? Or thinking about trying the race short-handed, or in the new mixed-two person format?

Whether you've done the race 10+ times or if this if your first time doing the rally: you won't want to miss out on this very special event. Join us on Monday 21st September, at 7pm at RNZYS, for the PIC Coastal Classic Great Advice Night. It's free, so round up your crew and sailing mates for a night of insights into NZ's Great Race North.

Due to physical distancing requirements at the venue while we are in Covid Alert Level 2.5, this event is seated and strictly limited to the first 70 people who RSVP online coastalclassic.co.nz

With thanks to Doyle Sails, we've assembled an expert panel including 10x PIC Coastal Classic winner Simon Hull (8x with trimaran Frank Racing and 2x with TP52 V5), Emma Sanderson, champion of round-the-world single-handed sailing and advocate for women in the sport, and Brad Marsh, Ocean Race winner onboard Groupama. More recently and closer to home, Brad won the Y88 Solo Championship and Doyle Sails SSANZ Mixed Two Person series.

Our new Race Director, Megan Kensington, and Daniel Garner of PIC Insurance Brokers will also be available for race rule and insurance specific questions.

Thanks to 36 Degrees Brokers your first drink of the night is complimentary, and we have plenty of prizes on offer including bar tabs for The Duke Tavern in Russell. So, bring your questions and prepare for some trivia about the race's history!
