Keen to watch the start of the 2026 PIC Coastal Classic from the water?! 


Thanks to our friends at Oceania Harmony Cruises, you can be part of the action that is the “great race north” on Friday 23rd October.


M/V Osprey is a 72ft catamaran which guarantees front-row views of New Zealand’s iconic PIC Coastal Classic yacht race.


M/V Osprey will be positioned close to the start line, giving you the perfect vantage point to witness the dramatic race start and soak up the high-energy atmosphere on the water. You’ll get to follow the fleet out to Rangitoto Lighthouse, and enjoy snacks and refreshments from the onboard bar.


The PIC Coastal Classic starts in the morning, so you will be required to board at 0815, with an 0830 departure from Viaduct Harbour - what a great way to spend a Friday morning!


Tickets are only $40 each and are limited, so get in quick!

The PIC Coastal Classic is proudly organised by the New Zealand Multihull Yacht Club

The NZMYC are dedicated to promoting Multihulls and Multihull sailing, providing a number of events from racing to cruising over the year.

Members can draw on over thirty years of experience; there are a number of designers in the club, both amateur and professional and a number of talented builders.

 

The NZMYC now make their home at the Royal New Zealand Yacht Squadron on the Westhaven breakwater.

We welcome enquiries and are always open to new people interested in joining the multihull fraternity.
