In a year when the America’s Cup has switched from multihulls to monohulls, the Coastal Classic is as much as ever a dual between the two types of boats.
This year the moderate aft conditions meant that the first four positions went to multihulls, but a monohull, Awen, took line honours in the 127 strong keelboat fleet.
Awen, an Open 60 skippered by Bryce Morrin, placed third last year and Awen finished at 19:17:16hrs in a time of 9 hours and 17 minutes.
Anatole Masfen’s TP52 Temptation was just eight minutes behind, and Harry Dodson’s Mayhem third, finishing another 11 minutes later.
Those interested in tracking finish times can check the race skeds online or use the PredictWind Tracker to assess status of their favourite boats and divisions.
